There are three specialized groups:
Responsible for research and development of actuator mechanisms (based on electrical – electromechanical – electronic – micro-electromechanical principles), power electronic devices for automation technology, control methods for these devices, control software, and industrial communication networks.
Specifically:
Design and manufacture AC-AC, AC-DC, DC-AC, and DC-DC converters used in automation technology (e.g., electric drives, robot actuators, induction heating like forging or frequency heat treatment, power quality conversion and improvement, renewable energy sources, etc.)
Research, identify, and develop new power electronics circuit principles in response to industrial demands
Research and design hardware and software for controlling actuators and power electronics
Study methods and architectures for industrial communication, as well as distributed control system architectures
