There are four specialized groups:
Responsible for research and development of robotic systems, robot control methods, and motion control. More broadly, this group also addresses issues in the field of mechatronics.
Specifically:
Research and design industrial manipulators, other robotic mechanisms (e.g., parallel robots, mobile robots), and their associated equipment.
Study control methods for different types of robots, such as:
Sequential robots (e.g., industrial manipulators)
Parallel robots (e.g., hexapods)
Develop control methods for surface-following systems (e.g., rail-guided vehicles, road-tracking electric cars), along with the design of accompanying control equipment.
Develop control strategies for complex motion systems in machining and processing equipment, and manufacture supporting devices.
Research and design hardware and software for robot and motion control.
