There are two specialized groups:
- System Dynamics and Control Methods Group. Comprising experts in control theory and system modeling.
- Artificial Intelligence in Control and Automation Group. Comprising experts in control systems and information technology.
Mission:
This is the Institute’s only fundamental research group, tasked with conducting methodology-oriented applied research. The group's focus is on modeling system dynamics and developing new control methods, particularly under real-time conditions (such as digital control systems using microcontrollers or digital signal processors).
Specifically:
-
Monitor and keep up with emerging trends in control theory, and disseminate and update knowledge for researchers across the Institute.
-
Conduct research on modeling the dynamic characteristics of systems and on modern control methods.
-
Conduct research in areas such as nonlinear control, stochastic control, intelligent systems, and real-time control (digital control systems), among others.
-
Prioritize the research and development of new methods using artificial intelligence, laying the groundwork for future applied research at the Institute.
