Organized a training course on "Guidelines for Using the Multimedia Classroom" for the Regional Political Academy No. 1

On the afternoon of December 2, 2021, the Institute of Control Engineering and Automation (ICEA) – Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), in collaboration with Regional Political Academy No. 1, organized a training course titled: “Guidelines for Using the Multimedia Classroom.”
This course was part of the outcomes from a National-Level Project under the National Key Program “Support for Research, Development, and Application of Technologies in Industry 4.0,” focusing on “Research and Development of a Smart School Digital Transformation Model.” The project is led by ICEA – HUST, with Regional Political Academy No. 1 as one of its core member institutions.
In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoàng Văn Hoan, Vice Director of the Regional Political Academy No. 1, emphasized the importance of applying Industry 4.0 technologies to innovate teaching and learning methods in political education for the modern era. He highly praised HUST – a leading institution in science and technology education in Vietnam – and expressed strong confidence in its ability to implement practical training and technology transfer.
Following that, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Đăng Thảnh, Vice Director of ICEA – HUST, spoke about the comprehensive cooperation between the two institutions in applying Smart Education Technologies for training and scientific research.
From December 2 to December 6, 2021, faculty and staff from the Academy participated in the course through both on-site and online formats via Microsoft Teams.
For the first time, participants experienced the new Smart Education approach, including technologies such as RDP, EP, and engaging educational games like “Yin-Yang Balance”. Lectures were delivered by experienced instructors such as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Chấn Hùng (ICEA – HUST), Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thanh Thúy, and trainers from Microsoft Vietnam.
During the course, trainees also interacted with state-of-the-art smart teaching devices such as ViewSonic interactive touchscreens, TOA smart audio systems, and 4.0 technologies like AI-based emotion recognition, automatic face-recognition attendance, and Auto Tracking camera systems integrated with Cloud computing, all provided by ICEA – HUST.
On December 6, the course concluded with a final project defense session, where trainee groups applied Smart Education techniques to deliver lessons on “Ho Chi Minh’s Ideology” from the Advanced Political Theory program in dynamic, interactive formats inspired by the course. Remarkably, for the first time, AI technology was used to grade teaching effectiveness based on the automated and objective assessment of learners’ emotions during the presentations.
At the end of the session, outstanding teams received meaningful gifts sponsored by Duc Phap Technology Co., Ltd., the official representative of ViewSonic (USA).
To conclude the course, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Vĩnh Thanh, Director of Regional Political Academy No. 1, expressed appreciation for the collaboration with ICEA – HUST and voiced his wish to continue organizing similar training courses to promote the application of Industry 4.0 technologies and modern teaching methods in enhancing political education quality at the Academy.
